Overview of ULID account management
You can change your password and modify your ULID account settings through ULID Account Management on the Help Desk website.
ULID Account Management
The University Computer Help Desk website is the official place to manage your ULID account settings and to change your password. Log in to ULID Account Management on the Help Desk website to access the following account features.
Preferred Name
Your preferred name is displayed in university systems and directories. Faculty and staff members can submit a request to set up a new preferred name.
Password
Your password expires every 60 days. Log in to ULID Account Management on the Help Desk website to change it. If you forget your password or unable to log in, you can recover your account by clicking Can't Sign In? on the CentralLogin page.
Security Questions
Correctly answering your one of your security questions allows you to recover your account in the event that you forget your password or have problems logging in.
Email Forwarding
You can forward your University email to third-party email address of your choice. All new email you receive will be forwarded to the email address you specify.
Exchange Access
Switch between Exchange Calendar Only and Full Exchange access. This option is only available to Illinois State faculty and staff.

Email Nickname
An email nickname is an alternate email address you can share with others. An email nickname is a more recognizable address than your ULID email address.
Out-of-Office Email Autoreply
Set an email autoreply for times when you will be unavailable and not responding to email. Full Exchange users should set an email autoreply in both ULID Account Management and in Outlook or Outlook Web App (OWA).
ISU Survey Participation
You can opt in and opt out of receiving official Illinois State surveys via email. You can change this option at any time.
Some of these account features are only available to full-time employees of the University. The options you see when you log in to Account Management are based on your affiliation with Illinois State.
