Export Your Class Lists
iCampus offers four formats for exporting your class lists:
- CSV File for Classroom Clickers: This file contains comma separated values (CSV) and is intended for use with TurningPoint software. For instructions on importing this CSV file into TurningPoint, refer to http://ctss.illinoisstate.edu/clickers/faculty/handouts/PortalParticipantList.htm.
- Excel Spreadsheet: This file contains the same information as the CSV file, but is in Excel format. This file is useful for any occasion when you want to see your class list as an Excel spreadsheet. For example, instructors might want to reference their class lists without having to log in to iCampus.
- E-mail List (text file): This file contains a comma separated list of email addresses. This file is useful when you want a list of your students' email addresses. Depending on your email client, you may be able to copy/paste this email list into the To: field of a new email message. Note that the campus mail system imposes a limit of up to 99 email addresses on a single message, so if your class is very large (100+ students), you would need to divide the email list into multiple groups and send the message to each group.
- Listserv Import List: This file contains a tab-delimited list of email addresses and names, which can be used to import student email addresses into a campus listserv.
