Announcement: ULID Account Management
ULID password changes and account management is now hosted on the University Computer Help Desk website.
Announcement
As of October 1, 2011, the University Computer Help Desk website is the official place to change your password and make changes to your ULID account.
- These services were formerly located at http://www.ilstu.edu/ulid/.
- They have been moved to https://helpdesk.illinoisstate.edu/ulid/.
For details on each of the features available through ULID Account Management, refer to:
Security Enhancements
In addition to relocating ULID account management to the Help Desk website, a few security enhancements have been made.
Increased Password Length
You can now set a password of up to 50 characters in length. You can use special characters and spaces in your password as well.
Use a Passphrase
We recommend using a passphrase with spaces rather than a typical password. A passphrase is a long password but is more like a sentence than a word.
Two Security Questions
You are now required to set up two security questions. In the past, you were allowed to set up a single security question but doing so was optional. The number of questions to choose from has been substantially increased as well.
Account Recovery
The option formerly referred to as "ULID Self-Reset" has been renamed "Account Recovery." When you forget your password or have problems logging in to your account, you can go through account recovery to regain access.
