How to create meetings in Exchange on Windows Phone 7

Add an event to your Exchange calendar and invite attendees on Windows Phone 7.

Before You Begin

To make use of these instructions, Windows Phone 7 must be configured for Exchange. Refer to:

To create meetings in Exchange on Windows Phone 7, do the following:

  1. Press Calendar.
  2. Press the plus sign (+) icon.
  3. Enter a subject.
  4. Enter a location.
  5. Press Account and select your Exchange account.
    • By default, your Exchange account is named Outlook on Windows Phone 7.
  6. Choose a date and time for the meeting under When.
  7. Choose a duration for the meeting under How long.
  8. Press more details.
  9. Choose a reminder time under Reminder.
    • This is the amount of time before the meeting you want to be reminded of the upcoming event.
  10. Choose a frequency under Occurs.
    • You can set up a recurring meeting by selecting a frequency.
  11. Choose a status under Status.
  12. Press add someone under Attendees.
  13. Press add someone under either required or optional.
  14. Select one of your contacts. You should only select from contacts that use Exchange.
  15. Repeat the previous step to invite additional people. Press the check mark when you are done.
  16. Add notes about the meeting, such as an agenda or topics to be discussed.
  17. When you are ready to send the meeting invite, press the save icon.

The meeting is added to your Exchange calendar and meeting requests are sent to your invitees.
