Before You Begin

Visit the Tech Alerts website to find out about current and upcoming system and network outages, maintenance, and other technology issues.

Sign up for email and/or SMS text notifications to receive notification messages each time a new alert or update is posted to the Tech Alerts website.

You can choose to unsubscribe from these notifications at any time.

Subscribe to Tech Alerts Notifications

To sign up for Tech Alerts notifications, do the following:

1. Go to http://alerts.illinoisstate.edu/.
2. Click Get text or email notifications located at the top of the page.
3. Log in with your ULID and password.
4. Complete the online form to sign up for SMS text and/or email notifications.
   • To sign up for text notifications, put a check mark next to the box, Notify me by text message. Then provide your mobile phone number and service provider.
   • To sign up for email notifications, put a check mark next to the box, Notify me at my Illinois State email account.
   • You can also choose which types of alerts you would like to receive.
5. Click Submit.

Unsubscribe from Tech Alerts Notifications

If you would like to no longer receive email and text notifications from Tech Alerts, you can unsubscribe.

Please note that when you leave Illinois State University, you will automatically be unsubscribed from Tech Alerts notifications.

Completely Unsubscribe

To completely unsubscribe from Tech Alerts notifications, do the following:

1. Go to http://alerts.illinoisstate.edu/.
2. Click Get text or email notifications located at the top of the page.
3. Log in with your ULID and password.
4. Put a check mark next to the box, I no longer want to receive alerts.
5. Click Submit.

You will no longer receive email or text notifications from Tech Alerts.

Unsubscribe From Text Notifications

To unsubscribe from Tech Alerts text notifications, do the following:

1. Reply to a text message you've received from Tech Alerts with the word STOP.
2. You will receive a confirmation text message from Tech Alerts indicating that you have been unsubscribed.

You will no longer receive text notifications from Tech Alerts. It may take up to ten minutes to process your STOP request.

Unsubscribe From Email or Text Notifications

To unsubscribe from Tech Alerts email or text notifications, do the following:

1. Go to http://alerts.illinoisstate.edu/.
2. Click Get text or email notifications located at the top of the page.
3. Log in with your ULID and password.
4. Remove the check mark next to either Notify me by text message or Notify me at my Illinois State email account.
   • If you want to unsubscribe from both text and email notifications, put a check mark next to I no longer want to receive alerts.
5. Click Submit.

You will no longer receive email or text notifications from Tech Alerts based on the changes you made to your subscription.
