How to forward a graduate student's ULID email to an Exchange email address
Graduate students who work for the University are allowed to forward their email to an Exchange account.
Before You Begin
A graduate student may be required to use Exchange email and/or calendar for his or her job on campus. Student workers are prohibited from forwarding their ilstu.edu email to Exchange, but graduate students who work for Illinois State University are allowed to make this request.
Request Exchange Email Forward
Graduate students who are employed by Illinois State and who already have an Exchange account can request to have their ilstu.edu email forwarded to Exchange.
To make this request, contact the University Computer Help Desk at 309-438-4357 or helpdesk@ilstu.edu and provide the following information:
- Explain that you are a graduate student who works for the University
- Provide your Exchange email address
- Indicate that you want to have your ilstu.edu email forwarded to your Exchange email address
The Help Desk will create an Incident for this request and will send it to the Unix mail administrators in CISS SYSTEMS. The mail administrators will set up the requested email forward and will notify you when it has been completed.
More Information
You cannot use the ULID Email Forwarding section of the ULID Maintenance website at http://www.ilstu.edu/ulid/ to set up this email forward. The ULID Maintenance website prevents users from forwarding their email from one university email address to another.
