Uploading audio/video to the media streaming server on Windows
You must map network drives to the media streaming server. Then you can upload audio and video files.
Before You Begin
To upload files to the campus media streaming server, you must have already been granted access by completing a media streaming server request. For more information, refer to 1564: How do I get access to the media streaming server?.
Make sure the file types you upload are supported by the media streaming server. For a list of supported file types, refer to 1563: Overview of media streaming server.
To access the media streaming server from off campus, you must first connect using the Cisco VPN client or Network Connect in WebVPN. For more information on VPN, refer to:
- 1091: Connecting with Cisco VPN Client for Windows
- 1322: Connecting with the Network Connect WebVPN client

You may also access mapped network drives by going to My Computer (in Windows XP) or Computer (in Windows Vista or Windows 7). You can use a network drive just as you would any other drive.
Upload Audio and Video Files
After you've mapped network drives to the media streaming server, you can copy your audio and video files into your shared folder. Copy and paste files into your shared folder on the media streaming server just as you would copy and paste files into any other Windows folder.
If you requested access to embed streaming media using both object code and a web address, you must copy your audio and video files into the appropriate shared folder on the media streaming server. If you requested access to only one of the streaming media options, you will only have one shared folder on the media streaming server.
Once your audio and video files have been uploaded to your shared folder(s) on the media streaming server, they can be displayed on your website as streaming media.
