Firefox displays an error when you visit the Blackboard website
When you visit the Blackboard website using Firefox 3 (or higher), you see an error that says there is a problem with your browser configuration.
Problem
When you visit the Blackboard website at http://blackboard.ilstu.edu/, the Learning System Browser Checker pop-up window appears. This pop-up window checks your browser configuration to ensure it is configured properly for use with Blackboard.
When using Firefox 3 (or higher), you may see the following error in the pop-up window under Browser Check:
This browser is either non-validated or unsupported for use with the Learning System.
It appears that you are using Firefox® Version Unknown.
Solution
Despite the error message, Firefox 3 (or higher) works with Blackboard at Illinois State University. Disregard the error, and close the pop-up window. Log in to Blackboard normally.
