How do I know if an alert I received is legitimate?
For help determining the authenticity of an ISU Emergency Alert notification you've received, please refer to 1527: How do I know this ISU Emergency Alert is legit?.
Why is the message format so choppy?
ISU Emergency Alert notifications are quick, short messages that notify Illinois State members of crisis situations. The messages are primarily formatted to accommodate SMS text message, but are also automatically translated to e-mail and voice messages in order to provide maximum coverage. SMS text formatting differs by device and carrier, and as a result, ISU Emergency Alert notifications are formatted so as to provide readability of the core message, regardless of device.

In Outlook, add @everbridge.net to your Safe Senders list. For more information, refer to 1576: How to add the ISU Emergency Alert address to your Safe Senders list in Outlook and OWA.
