Subscribe to an RSS Feed in Mail

To subscribe to an RSS feed using Mail in Mac OS X 10.5, do the following:

1. Open Mail.
2. Click File > Add RSS Feeds....
3. Select the option, Specify a custom feed URL.
4. Type the address of an RSS feed into the large, white box. For example:
   http://alerts.illinoisstate.edu/xml/.
5. Click Add.

The RSS feed to which you subscribed appears beneath RSS on the left side of the Mail window.

Read an RSS Feed in Mail

To read an RSS feed to which you are subscribed, do the following:

1. Open Mail.
2. Select an RSS feed beneath RSS on the left to see a list of RSS articles on the right.
3. Select an RSS article on the right to view its contents.
