Understanding iTunes U repositories: public and reserved

Students, faculty, and staff at Illinois State University can access podcasts and PDF files hosted through iTunes U.

iTunes U Content

Visit iTunes U at https://itunesu.ilstu.edu/ to access podcasts and PDF files created by faculty and staff at Illinois State University.

The iTunes U website provides links to two repositories:

  • Public Material - Click Public Material to launch iTunes and access content which has been made publicly available. Most podcasts and PDFs created by Illinois State are available in this repository.

  • Reserved Material - Click Reserved Material to launch iTunes and access content which is restricted. You must log in with your ULID and password to access these podcasts and PDFs.

You can browse through the available content by clicking on individual collections, podcasts, PDFs, categories, colleges, or departments.

You can also subscribe to collections in iTunes U. When new podcasts or PDFs are added to the collections to which you are subscribed, they will automatically download for your convenience.

Can't find what you're looking for?

The two sections, Public Material and Reserved Material, are separate. If you can't find what you are looking for in one section, look in the other section.

For example, if you are looking in Public Material and can't find a particular podcast or PDF, look in the Reserved Material section instead.
