iTunes U offers audio and video content created by faculty and staff at Illinois State University.
iTunes U at Illinois State University
iTunes U allows universities to share audio and video podcasts through Apple's iTunes store. Anyone can access public content uploaded to iTunes U. Students, faculty, staff, and members of the public can access and download podcasts, PDFs, and EPUB documents through iTunes U.
At Illinois State University, faculty and staff can request to become iTunes U contributors. An iTunes U contributor creates audio and video podcasts and uploads them to iTunes U. PDF documents and ePub documents can also be uploaded by contributors. People can then access your podcasts, PDFs, and EPUB files using iTunes software.
Accessing iTunes U
There are two ways to access files on iTunes U. You must have iTunes software installed to access iTunes U. You can download iTunes from Apple.
Direct Link to iTunes U
To access iTunes U through Illinois State's website, do the following:
- Go to https://itunesu.ilstu.edu/.
- Click either Public Material or Reserved Material.
- Public material is available to anyone.
- Reserved material requires a valid ULID and password to access.

- iTunes will automatically launch and open to the University's iTunes U page.
Browse to iTunes U
To access iTunes U by browsing through the iTunes software, do the following:
- Open iTunes on your computer.
- Click on iTunes U at the top of the iTunes window.
- Click on Universities & Colleges under ITUNES U QUICK LINKS on the right side of the iTunes window.
- Click on Illinois State University under the letter I.
Browsing to iTunes U allows you to access public material but not reserved material. If you want to access reserved material, please go through https://itunesu.ilstu.edu/ as described above.
