Determining the software version on iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
These instructions explain how to determine the software version of iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
Before You Begin
To make use of some features of iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, the device must be running a minimum software version.
Determine Software Version
To determine the software version running on iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, do the following:
- Press Settings > General > About.
- The software version running on your device is located next to Version. (Figure 1)
