Is it possible to reactivate an old ULID account?

It is not possible to reactivate old ULID accounts once they have been removed from the University's systems.

When students, faculty, and staff leave Illinois State University, they lose their ULID accounts. For more information, refer to 1182: How long do I keep my ULID account after leaving the University?.

Former students, faculty, and staff members occasionally contact the Help Desk with questions like:

"I am a former member of Illinois State University. Is it possible to reactivate my old ULID account (even for a short period of time) so that I can retrieve some old emails, files, or other data?"

No. Once the final cut-off date for a ULID account has been reached, the account is removed from the University's systems. It is not possible to reactivate an account once it has been terminated.

Even if a person were to return to the University and activate a new ULID account, the new account will not contain any of the old account's email, files, or data.
