Surviving Spouse Policy
Spouses of University annuitants who have passed away are eligible for their own ULID account.
Spouses of University annuitants who have passed away are eligible for their own ULID accounts if they meet the following requirements:
- They must be a surviving spouse of a University annuitant. (Children of the deceased are not eligible.)
- They must be entitled to receive a monthly SURS survivor benefit.
If a user requests a ULID account utilizing this policy, he or she must contact Human Resources at (309) 438-8311 to determine eligibility. Human Resources will then process the request and take the necessary steps to create the account.
