Illinois State is in the process of transitioning away from Ericsson phone technology and is rolling out new VoIP technology in its place. Departments interested in making the change to VoIP phones should contact Telecommunications & Networking for details.

Reporting problems

To get help with your Ericsson digital phone, contact the University Computer Help Desk to open an Incident for your problem or issue. You can contact the Help Desk by phone at 309-438-4357 or by email at helpdesk@ilstu.edu.

You must provide the following information:

  • Your name, ULID, and a contact phone number where you can be reached (which might be different from your phone number, especially if that phone is not working properly)
  • Building and room where your phone is located
  • Port number to which your phone is connected
  • Phone number of the phone that is experiencing problems

Report Problems on the Web

You can also report problems with your Ericsson digital phone through the Help Desk website. Go to the Support & Requests section of the Help Desk website and click the Phone tab. This web form requires the same information described above.
