Thunderbird 7 is an older version provided for Unified Messaging (UM) users who are experiencing issues receiving .wav voice mail attachments. You can install this over your current version of Thunderbird to downgrade to Thunderbird 7.

Thunderbird will automatically obtain mail server settings based on your location when you set it up for the first time.

• If you are using a wired or wireless connection on campus, Thunderbird will be configured with typical mail settings.
• If you are using a computer that's connected off campus, Thunderbird will be configured with MailVPN settings.

If you plan to use Thunderbird both on campus and off campus, then you should use MailVPN settings.
